Hello ZenSportsians!
We promised it wouldn’t be long before ZenSports brought back our esports tournaments, and the wait is over! The pause was part of a bigger initiative for our company, which will be announced very soon!
With that said, let’s dive into the details of our next event.
ZenSportsians & EMPerors: A Modern Splinterlands Brawl
This tournament will be directly in collaboration with EMP.Money, an awesome partner of ours in the defi space. EMP.Money offers a unique approach to staking, with their token, EMP, being pegged to the price of ethereum at a 4000:1 ratio.
This tournament will celebrate our relationship with EMP.Money, and the recent addition of EMP as a payment option for Splinterlands cards!
We will also be utilizing the new “modern” format of Splinterlands battles, which only permits recently-released cards to be used in battle.
We will also be hosting trivia and giveaways during the event, streamed live to our Twitch and Theta, as well as the EMP.Money YouTube.
Tournament Information
Date/Time: October 1st, 2022. 2 PM EST.
Format: Double elimination, bracket-style in the ZenSports Play mobile app. Modern format, Gold League Ruleset. Upper bracket matches are played as best-of-three. Lower bracket matches are played as best-of-one. Lower bracket finals are played as best-of-three. Grand finals will be played as best-of-five.
Cards: Only cards available in the Modern Ranked format of Spinterlands will be allowed. If a player mistakenly plays a card not included in the Modern format card list, then they will lose that specific match of the series.
Registration: All players must register for the tournament in the ZenSports Play mobile app, and must subsequently check-in for the tournament in the ZenSports Discord server. All players will be given access to a special player-only channel as well as a specific role for the tournament.
Entry Fee and Qualification: While no entry fee will be required for this tournament, we ask that all registrants have completed the free EMP Academy training.

Base Prize Pool: Numbers shown will be paid 50/50 as USDT on the ZenSports Play App and EMP via the Binance chain.

Terms & Conditions for Contests and Prize Payouts

- Users must be 18 year of age or older to participate and win prizes.
- The total prize money, along with the currency that the prize money will be in, is set by ZenSports.
