Washington Wizards Preview

The Wizards are 2-3 in their last five games, but are currently on a two-game win streak as they come into this matchup attempting a third. Their most recent success was a 110-108 performance over the Miami Heat, with Kyle Kuzma dropping 32 points.

Kuzma currently leads their scoring with 22.5 points each game, ranking him 25th in the league. He also accumulates 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists, making him vital all around to their potential success.

The Wizards average 114.4 points per game, securing the 16th spot in the league. Their offensive efficiency comes in at 26th with a rating of 110.9. Despite their subpar offensive numbers, they rank first in the league for their pace of play with a rating of 103.0.

Defensively, the Wizards are the worst in the league in allowing 123.9 points per game. Their defensive efficiency is also last with a rating of 120.1. Looking at their offense, they typically give up more points than they can score each game.

Memphis Grizzlies Preview

The Grizzlies are 2-3 in their last five games, but are coming in trying to shake a two-game losing skid. Their most recent defeat was a 124-93 blowout against the Oklahoma City Thunder, despite GG Jackson having 30 points.

Jaren Jackson Jr. leads them offensively, but will out against the Wizards due to right quad tendinitis. While he only had 16 points in the loss against the Thunder, he has been averaging 22.4 points and 5.6 rebounds a game. Players like GG Jackson will need another performance similar to his activity against the Thunder.

The Grizzlies rank last in the league for their offensive output at 105.8 and carry the least efficient offense with a rating of 107.2. Their pace of play is somewhat below the league average at 17th with a rating of 98.2, which could hurt them if they are not as comfortable pushing the basketball.

One thing the Grizzlies can rely on each game is their defense, even though their offense has struggled to produce consistently all season. They allow their opponents to average 112.5 points per game and rank ninth overall. Their defensive efficiency is slightly higher coming in at 10th with a rating of 114.0.
