Hello ZenSportsians, InTheKeepers, and Summoners!
If you have been following ZenSports for more than a year, you may remember the 2020 Pigeon Classic Charity Event held by our amazing partners at InTheKeep.
We helped out with three tournaments in the month-long charity event, including two Diabotical tournaments and one Warfork tournament – they were epic!
We are back again and this year’s Pigeon Classic will be better than ever – more games, bigger prizes, and more money raised for charity!
The charity of choice will be Childs Play. Childs Play provides an escape for hospital patients, giving them an outlet to play their favorite games to help pass time while dealing with their personal issues. How awesome is that!
Our next blog post will cover all of the events in this year’s Pigeon Classic. For now, check out the Splinterlands Pigeon Classic Takeoff!
Pigeon Classic Takeoff Cup
We will be kicking off the Pigeon Classic one week before the main event weekend with a live Splinterlands tournament. The tournament will be on Saturday, November 6th at Noon EST.
The Pigeon Classic will officially commence the following weekend, beginning Friday, November 12th, and concluding on the 14th. Make sure to join our Discord and follow us on Theta so you don’t miss it!
Let’s get into the event details!
This event will follow our now-typical format for Splinterlands events. This style means $1,500 in prizes and eight players from each ranked division – if it’s not broken, don’t fix it!
Qualifiers will be hosted by the one and only Clove71, with the top eight from each qualifier moving on to the Grand Finals on November 6th.
Given the popular request from our community, the bronze qualifier will be an “anytime” tournament.
Qualifier Schedule:
Bronze League Qualifier – Monday, November 1st, Noon EST (Anytime).
Silver League Qualifier – Tuesday, November 2nd, Noon EST.
Gold League Tournament – Wednesday, November 3rd, Noon EST.
Diamond League Tournament – Thursday, November 4th, Noon EST.
Prizes
Player Payouts and KYC Verification
Players who finish in the top 16 will be eligible to win their crypto prize as USDT.
Immediately after the tournament is over, ZenSports will credit players’ accounts with their tournament winnings, but players must complete KYC before they are allowed to withdraw.
If you want to win even more money from playing in our tournaments, make sure to check out our SPORTS Staking Rewards Program. The program rewards you for simply holding SPORTS tokens in your ZenSports account and playing in tournaments!
We understand that KYC is a hassle, but it is required. ZenSports is a money servicing business and faces many of the same regulatory hurdles as banks do!
For now, players should look to get verified using either PrimeTrust on the ZenSports app itself or through a third-party service: Yoti.
Please read the following rules and restrictions:
- All prizes will be paid as credits to customers’ ZenSports accounts (in USD, Bitcoin, ICX, or SPORTS).
- All withdrawal requests must be submitted directly within the ZenSports app, and all customers must go through KYC/AML verification and meet ZenSports’ Terms & Conditions for submitting withdrawal requests.
- ZenSports does NOT offer third-party payment options such as PayPal, Venmo, etc.
- Players located in the following countries are ineligible for winning prize money.
Giveaways, Donations, Prediction Contest
With a goal of raising money and awareness for a great cause, giveaway entrants must donate at least $1 to win one of our fantastical giveaway prizes!
We will reveal more information about donating once we make the official announcement for the 2021 Pigeon Classic, which will be very soon!
We will also be hosting a Bracket Prediction Contest, with winners taking home Beta packs and SPORTS Tokens. The link to enter the contest will be on our Discord Server!
As always, thank you for reading!
