Hey Summoners,
We are super excited to run our first Splinterlands tournament, The ZenSports Kickoff Cup, this Saturday (July 17th) at 5:30 PM EST.
We will be attending DYGYCON prior to the tournament, so make sure to stop by our booth!
As for the event, it will follow the format of what has been referred to as a crawl tournament in the past.
We will slow down the action, un-pack it, and analyze it from all angles for our viewers. If you are new to Splinterlands, this is the perfect event for you!
If you are participating in the Kickoff Cup, please make sure you understand:
- Players will be responsible for submitting match results on the ZenSports app no earlier than 5 minutes before the end of the round to ensure matches are not spoiled on the official broadcast.
- Players will be responsible for hiding their card choices if they stream to Twitch.
- Players must start matches at times mentioned in the schedule below to qualify for the next round.
- Players will not play ahead and will wait for each round to begin their next match and ensure matches are not spoiled.
- Players must be present for the Kickoff Cup before being eliminated from contention.
- Loser bracket matches are to be best of one, and played before the start of the next Winners Bracket round.
- Winner Bracket matches will be best-of-3, up until the Winner’s Bracket Finals, which will be best-of-5.
- Loser Bracket matches will be best-of-1, up until the Loser’s Bracket Finals, which will be best-of-3.
- Grand Finals will be best-of-5.
- Individual contests will be played via the CHALLENGE feature on the Splinterlands Game.
