Seattle Seahawks Preview

The Seahawks were at risk of missing the playoffs with a four-game losing streak heading into their last matchup. However, they kept their season alive with a recent 20-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. They were able to storm back in the second half to put away the Eagles.

The NFC West is another tough race, as the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams are now tied for second. The San Francisco 49ers are too far ahead to contend with, so the Seahawks must aim for the Wild Card spot.

The Seahawks have been averaging 21.4 points a game and rank 18th in the league for their efforts. Their defense typically allows 23.9 points a game and ranks 24th for their ability to stop teams at the line of scrimmage. While this is a negative result in points on the board, they have somehow managed to get their season back to .500.

Geno Smith (15 TD, 9 INT) is expected to return to the lineup after suffering a groin injury and has been out the last few weeks. So far this season, he has earned 2,918 total yards, completed 64.4 percent of his passes, and ranks 15th in the league for his QBR at 55.8.

Tennessee Titans Preview

The Titans have yet to find consistent success this year, but have had a handful of close matchups. Their most recent performance was a 19-16 overtime defeat to the Houston Texans.

Their recent loss likely pushed them out of the playoff race, so now they are looking to build momentum for next year. With quarterback Will Levis earning quality play, they should be in good shape next year.

The Titans’ offense has been averaging 18.4 points a game and ranking 27th. However, their defense has been respectable in allowing 21.5 points a game and ranking 17th. With these numbers at play, they can cause problems for the Seahawks’ playoff hopes.

Levis (8 TD, 4 INT) will be questionable for this matchup, as he suffered a sprained ankle in the final snap of their last game against the Texans. If he cannot play, Ryan Tannehill will take over, ironically, after suffering an ankle sprain that sidelined him earlier this season.
