An excellent opportunity for MLB betting in Tennessee awaits, as game three of a four-game series is coming up soon between the Toronto Blue Jays (64-51) and Cleveland Guardians (55-59). Both teams are fighting for position in their respective divisions, giving you the chance to make money.

When: Game 3 on August 9, 2023 at 7:10 PM ET

Where: Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio

Toronto Blue Jays Preview

The Blue Jays are third in the AL East by seven games behind the leading Baltimore Orioles. They have moved in the right direction in their division recently, as they have gone 4-1 over their last five games. Kevin Gausman hopes to help continue their success on the mound for game three, as he is 8-6 this year (ERA 3.20, WHIP 1.17).

Their batting average of .261 shows they have good progress at the plate. Looking at what their opponents average, a .242 is still not bad but only if the Blue Jays continue to be good on offense to create separation.

In addition to their strong offense at the plate, they seem to have no problems getting on base with a .331 on-base percentage. Their pitching is modest since they have an ERA of 3.75, which needs to be lower if they want to be successful.

The Blue Jays have gone 5-5 over their last 10 games, which needs to improve if they want any shot at catching the Orioles. They are 34-27 on the road and 32-47 as the favorite with their run line.

Cleveland Guardians Preview

The Guardians have slowly slipped to second in the AL Central by 4.5 games behind the current leading Minnesota Twins. They have gone 2-3 over their last five games and need to capitalize home opportunities if they want a shot at catching them. Logan Allen is their starting pitcher and is 5-4 this year (3.65 ERA, 1.37 WHIP).

They tend to do well at the plate, with a .249 batting average, which is competitive to what the Blue Jays offer. On defense, they are allowing .242 from their opponents, which is the same as the Blue Jays.

Sporting a .312 on-base percentage, they show a solid effort at getting on base. Their ERA is also appealing at 3.79, which is not far from the Blue Jays standards.

The Guardians have gone 3-7 over their last 10 games and must take care of business at home to inch closer to their division lead. They are 30-27 at home and 32-19 as the underdog with their run line.
