Indianapolis Colts Preview

The Colts have gone 4-1 over their previous five matchups, with their most recent one being a 30-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. In that game, they produced two strong quarters of football and compiled 24 points in the second and third combined to help stay ahead of them.

The AFC South is arguably one of the tightest races for the playoffs this season. So far, there is a three-way tie between the Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans for first place. Each game is crucial for all three teams as the postseason is approaching.

The Colts produce 24.6 points per game, which ranks eighth among other teams in the league. Defensively, they allow 24.5 points from opposing teams and rank 27th. This is not the kind of margins they need to successfully take over the division, let alone win a game.

Gardner Minshew (14 TD, 8 INT) has put up 2,739 yards and has a pass completion rate at 63.3. He also boasts a QBR at 57.5, which ranks 14th among other starting quarterbacks in the league.

Atlanta Falcons Preview

The Falcons have lost three out of their last five games and are currently on a two-game losing streak. Unfortunately, they lost their last game to the Carolina Panthers 9-7, who just recorded their second win of the season.

Their recent defeat to their divisional rival Panthers knocked them out of first place in the NFC South, while the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers hold a tie now for that spot. Can the Falcons get back on track in time to save their season?

The Falcons are one of the worst offensive teams in the league at 26th, as they average 18.4 points a game. Their defense has been keeping them in games, as they rank eighth for allowing 19.9. While this ratio is not ideal, they at least have opportunities to keep games close with their defense.

Desmond Ridder (10 TD, 10 INT) has accumulated 2,528 yards and has completed 63.3 percent of his passes. His QBR ranks 24th in the league with a rating of 38.3. His performances need to improve if they want a shot at winning.
