Washington Commanders Preview

The Commanders have gone 1-4 over the last five games and are currently on a two-game skid. They recently added their second consecutive loss in their streak and lost for the second time this season against the New York Giants in a 31-19 performance. The Commanders turned the ball over six times, while the Giants had none, likely paving the way to their demise.

They are currently third in the NFC East and are several games behind the Cowboys. As for Wild Card opportunities, they must take control here to offer any chance towards the end of the season.

The Commanders are struggling on both sides of the ball this season. They are averaging 21.5 points per game, which ranks 17th in the league. However, their defense gives up 27.7 points each game and ranks last (32nd) in the NFL.

Quarterback Sam Howell (18 TD, 12 INT) had thrown three interceptions in his last matchup with just one touchdown. So far, he has accumulated 3,038 yards and has a QBR of 48.6, ranking him 21st in the league among other QB’s.

Dallas Cowboys Preview

The Cowboys have gone 4-1 over their last five performances, including their recent 33-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. In fact, they have been winning with authority in this stretch, averaging 33.6 points and allowing 18.4.

They need to continue winning games in order to inch closer to the division-leading Philadelphia Eagles. Their recent loss in this five game stretch was a close 28-23 outing against the Eagles, which is likely driving their motivation to win each game.

The Cowboys have been averaging 30.2 points each game this season and are the second-best team in the rankings for that. They also allow teams to score 17.5 points a game, which has them ranked fifth in the league. Landing in the top five for both of those categories is a great accomplishment and shows how strong of a team they are.

QB Dak Prescott (19 TD, 6 INT) has obtained 2,604 yards and is having a remarkable season. His QBR is at 73.9, ranking him as the second-best in the league. His leadership on the field is giving the Cowboys a chance to find success each game.
