Vancouver Canucks Preview

The Canucks find themselves in a pivotal position once again after a recent setback in Game 5 in their home arena. Everything was going good as they were leading 1-0 in the third period, but they faltered late against the Predators and ultimately lost the game 2-1.

Their success in the series has been precarious, relying heavily on third-period comebacks. At this rate, you do not want to see them have a slight lead heading into the third period if you are the Predators. To secure victory and move onto the next round, they must invigorate their offense and put up more than the 2.40 goals per game they are currently scoring.

J.T. Miller has been crucial for them offensively with one goal, five assists, and 13 shots on goal, while Brock Boeser has also chimed in with four goals contributed. Injuries to key goalies Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith mean Arturs Silovs is likely to start again. DeSmith is currently listed as day to day, meaning he could play here.

Nashville Predators Preview

The Predators display resilience despite facing potential elimination for the second straight game. They have had opportunities where they had a slight lead and failed to capitalize late. For example, they appeared to have Game 4 under wrap at home but made crucial mistakes that allowed the Canucks to eventually win 4-3 in overtime.

Surprisingly, they have yet to win a game at home in this series and need this one to be their first. Looking at the Canucks road record and the Predators home performances this season, both teams are about the same in that regard.

With an average of 2.40 goals per game in the series, their offense requires a boost. They cannot continue to match the Canucks on offense and expect to prolong this weird further.

Filip Forsberg leads their offense with two goals and four assists, with Gustav Nyquist adding one goal and three assists. As for their defense, Juuse Saros is expected to be their starting goalie and has yet to deliver standout saves when they need him the most.

ZenSports Tennessee sportsbook provides compelling betting odds for Game 6 of this series. The Nashville Predators are favorites to find success at home and force a Game 7. Can the Predators find success offensively or will the Canucks find success late again?
