Tennessee Titans Preview
The Titans might have turned the page when it comes to their issues on offense this season. They recently defeated the Atlanta Falcons 28-23, but they have an opportunity to build on this with rookie quarterback Will Levis. This will be another big test for the rookie QB, but he appears to be up for the challenge.
Despite being below .500, they are second in the AFC South. Another quality win would greatly improve their season and give Levis the confidence he needs. If Levis does well again, he could earn his spot in the starting lineup for QB down the road.
The Titans might actually increase their scoring averages as they prepare for this game. Previously, they have averaged 18.9 points per game on 2,253 yards, but have allowed 20.0 points per game against their opponents.
Ryan Tannehill is still out with an ankle injury, but the Titans have Levis getting another shot at quality playing time. Levis has four touchdowns without an interception and in addition, he also has a QBR of 60.7.
Pittsburgh Steelers Preview
The Steelers are coming off of a 20-10 defeat against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which snapped their previous two/game win streak. They will need a better performance in putting in more scoring chances against a team that is ready to break out.
They are currently second in the AFC North and have an opportunity to draw within a game or two behind the top spot. However, they have not had the most consistent performances, especially against weaker teams.
They have been putting up 16.1 points per game but they need to find a better way to get points from a balanced attack. They also have 2,044 total yards, showing that they do use their offense from time to time. In contrast, they allow their opponents to average 21.0 points per game, which makes them slightly vulnerable against a strong opposition offense.
Quarterback Kenny Pickett (5 TD, 4 INT) has had mixed results this season, ranking 29th in the league for his QBR at 35.5. Mistakes behind the line of scrimmage cannot happen against the Titans, as they will likely turn it into scoring opportunities. They will have to rely on him to help make big plays and potentially use his experience over a rookie QB.
