Tennessee Titans Preview

The Titans are currently on a two-game losing streak and their recent 20-6 defeat against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was salt in the wound. The Titans finished the first quarter with a 3-0 lead, but never again made it further with that lead.

They are sitting fourth in the AFC South under coach Mike Vrabel. They are still in a good position to have a winning record by the end of the season. Their defense has been respectable to some degree, but their offense has been abysmal and must get it going soon.

Offensively, they are looking slightly better with Levis in charge. Overall, they are averaging 17.1 points per game, ranking 28th in the league. On defense, they allow the opposition to average 20.0 points a game, which ranks 10th.

With Ryan Tannehill out again, rookie quarterback Will Levis will be getting his fourth start of the year. Levis (4 TD, 2 INT) has put up 699 yards so far in three games. His QBR is currently at 37.5 and has a passing completion rate of 56.1.

Jacksonville Jaguars Preview

The Jaguars recently had their five-game win streak snapped against the San Francisco 49ers. This was an embarrassing 34-3 performance, where the 49ers only had a 13-3 lead at the half before an offensive explosion in the second half of action.

The Jags are currently on top in the AFC South over the Titans, so a win against a divisional foe is necessary for their continued success. Coach Doug Pederson is in his second season with the franchise and already having a much better year than last season (9-8).

On both sides of the ball, the Jaguars are right around the middle of the pack and have one of the narrowest margins for victory. Offensively, they average 21.8 points per game and rank 15th. On the other side of the ball, their defense allows 21.1 points a game from opposing teams.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence (9 TD, 6 INT) has typically been consistent with a completion rate of 67.3 percent. He has a QBR of 56.1 that ranks 15th in the league. His performance against the 49ers was odd to see, but he was sacked five times and it appeared that the defense was on his mind often.
