Tennessee Titans Preview

The Titans have lost their last two consecutive games and are 2-3 over their last five heading into this game. Surprisingly, all three of their recent losses have ended in a three-point deficit. In their most recent defeat, the Titans fell 20-17 to the Seattle Seahawks.

They are currently last in the AFC South and are unable to catch an opportunity for the playoffs this season. However, the Titans can make things difficult and potentially cause the Texans to miss the playoffs if they can defeat them here.

The Titans’ offense ranks 27th in the league since they put up 18.3 points per game. Their defense is hovering the league average at 21.4 points per game against opposing teams and ranking 15th. This negative ratio has been hurting them all season.

Will Levis (8 TD, 4 INT) has put together 1,792 yards and has been a great addition to their offense since taking over the starting role earlier this season. He currently has a pass completion rate at 59.0 and has a QBR of 35.8 ranking 27th in the league among other starting QB’s.

Houston Texans Preview

The Texans have also gone 2-3 in their last five games and must turn it around soon if they want an opportunity in the playoffs. They are coming off a 36-22 defeat against the Cleveland Browns, where they put up 250 total yards while allowing the Browns to get 418.

They are currently tied for first place in the AFC South along with the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars. Any movement in their record against the Titans would be huge, so they must capitalize on this opportunity.

The Texans rank 15th in the league with 21.9 points per game. Defensively, they rank 17th in allowing 22.1 points per game. A couple weeks ago, the Texans defeated the Titans in overtime 19-16, so this could be another close game according to their stats.

C.J. Stroud (20 TD, 5 INT) is expected to join the lineup after missing games due to a concussion. He recently had limited participation in practice, so at least he appears to be in the positive direction. Currently, he has a pass completion rate at 62.4 and ranks 17th for his QBR of 54.7.
