Seattle Seahawks Preview

The Seahawks just had a good 37-27 win against the Carolina Panthers, putting them away with a strong second half of action. They kept the Panthers from winning their first game of the season, but it looked a bit ugly to start the game.

They have accumulated 349.7 total yards a game, while 245.3 are coming from passes. Their defense almost cost them their recent game, as they are allowing an average of 418.7 yards a game and 339.3 are coming from passing plays. This is a tough deficit to overcome if they face a good offensive team.

Geno Smith (QB) has put together 736 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception so far in three games. His quarterback rating (QBR) stands at 70.2, which is the fifth best in the league.

In addition to their offense, they put up 29 points per game. On defense, they allow 29.3, so they are essentially breaking even each matchup. They are also holding onto the ball at least five minutes less than their opponents, which shows slightly less scoring opportunities.

New York Giants Preview

The Giants suffered a harsh defeat against the San Francisco 49ers on the road 30-12. They cannot afford another loss at home this early in the season, as they are already in last place in the NFC East.

Their total yards on offense comes in at 277.3, with 189.3 coming from passes. They are allowing 365 total yards from their opponents and 227 of those are from passing plays. This is a worse differential in comparison to the Seahawks, despite having fewer yards allowed.

Quarterback Daniel Jones has one of the worst QBR in the league, coming in at 27th with a 44.4. This is no surprise, especially with 562 yards, two touchdowns, and four costly interceptions. He will need to be great for their team to win.

They are not strong offensively with 14.3 points per game. Even worse, they are allowing teams to average 32.7 points against them. They need to make drastic changes quickly or this season is slipping away from them.
