Philadelphia Eagles Preview
The Eagles have lost their last two games at the nads of the San Francisco 49ers and recently to the Dallas Cowboys at 33-13. In both games, the Eagles have allowed over 30 points and they failed to reach over 20 for their scoring efforts.
With a recent loss to the Cowboys, they are only the slightest amount ahead of them now on top of the NFC East. They will still make the playoffs, but it could make a difference heading in a different seeding if they continue to lose games.
The Eagles’ offense has been good for most of the season, as they are averaging 26.3 points per game and ranking seventh in the league. However, their defense is what is holding them back. They are allowing 24.7 points a game and rank 28th for their efforts.
Jalen Hurts (19 TD, 10 INT) is questionable to play in this game due to an illness. If playing, he has a pass completion rate at 66.5 and a QBR at 60.1, ranking ninth in the league. If he is unable to play, Marcus Mariota will take over under center.
Seattle Seahawks Preview
The Seahawks have lost their last four straight games and must break the cycle soon if they want any chance at making the playoffs. Their last two losses were also against the Cowboys and most recently against the 49ers, which was a 28-16 performance.
They are a game behind the Los Angeles Charges for second in the NFC West. Each game is more crucial than the last as the regular season is coming to a close soon. Can the Seahawks stop the bleeding at home?
The Seahawks are averaging 21.5 points per game and rank 18th in the league. While this is solid, their defense is to blame for their inability to win games since their offense cannot produce enough points to overcome the difference. Currently, they are allowing teams to average 24.5 points a game on them, which ranks 25th.
Geno Smith (15 TD, 9 INT) is also questionable for this matchup with a groin injury. He currently has a pass completion rate of 64.4 and a QBR of 55.8, ranking him 15th. Drew Lock played last weekend for Smith and could play another game if Smith is unable to perform.
