Oregon Ducks Preview

The Ducks recently dismantled the Stanford Cardinal 42-6. Stanford won the first quarter 3-0, but quickly felt the wrath of an explosive offense shortly after to go down 35-6 entering the fourth quarter.

They have accumulated 557.8 total yards per game, with 330.6 coming from passing yards. Their defense has been robust too, only allowing 255.6 total yards and 153.6 stem from opponents passing. This is a good margin, which will be put to the test against the Huskies.

Quarterback Bo Nix has been clicking offensively with his 1,459 yards, 15 touchdowns, and just one interception. He has earned a QBR of 82.7, placing him 13th in the nation. A strong offensive performance in this game will dictate how far they can go this season.

The Ducks have been on fire offensively, averaging 55.6 points per game. They have also been great defensively, stopping teams to just 11.8 per contest. A large margin like this could help in games where they are not perfect.

Washington Huskies Preview

The Huskies just had their closest matchup of the season when they won 31-24 against the Arizona Wildcats. They had a comfortable 21-10 lead at the half, which helped propel them to a strong finish.

They have slightly more total yards a game in comparison to the Ducks, as they average 569.4 and have 446.4 come from passing plays. Their defense is not as strong, as they allow teams to average 365.0 total yards and have 243.4 derived from passing yards. Their defense must stand strong against one of the top teams in the nation.

Their QB Michael Penix Jr. has been outstanding this season, ranking second in the nation for his QBR at 91.6. His stats show he is a threat on offense, with 1,999 yards, 16 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Another strong performance from him in this showdown is a must if they want to succeed.

The Huskies have enjoyed a strong offense with 46.0 points per game. They have done well in slowing teams down to 18.4. Despite the good margin, they cannot afford any errors on the field in this matchup.
