Ohio State Buckeyes Preview

The Buckeyes have been perfect through seven games so far into the season, dismantling plenty of teams in the process. They did have a close encounter in their recent win, which was a 20-12 showing over the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Their success has them currently as second-best in the Big Ten East. They are roughly a game behind the Michigan Wolverines, who rank second in the nation. Obtaining quality wins while they can will be crucial in their quest for the playoffs at the end of the year.

They have impressively put up 33.7 points per game and have limited teams to just 10.0 points a game. Furthermore, they have averaged 431.9 total yards a game and have slowed teams to just 260.1 total yards a game.

The Buckeyes quarterback Kyle Mccord (12 TD, 1 INT) has been impressive with 1,937 yards. He also has a QBR of 87.0, which ranks him fifth in the nation. His completion rate of 63.9 percent will be tested against a hungry Badgers team.

Wisconsin Badgers Preview

The Badgers barely escaped their third loss of the season when they faced the Illinois Fighting Illini. Instead, they defeated the Fighting Illini 25-21 and had an outstanding 18-0 run in the fourth quarter to cap off their comeback.

They are currently first in the Big Ten West and have a great opportunity to finish out the year strong. This will be their biggest test of the season, as their schedule hits its peak here in terms of strength. Landing a monstrous win would elevate their season to a new level.

Their roster will be tested on both sides of the ball, as they average 26.8 points per game and allow 18.3. Against a strong Buckeyes team, this will be interesting to see how they operate. They also add 397.0 total yards a game and give up 333.6 total yards from opponents.

The Badgers offense has been steady with QB Tanner Mordecai (3 TD, 3 INT). His play on the field has not been flashy, but enough to get the job done. His QBR ranks 80th in the nation at 55.8 and he has also added 1,127 yards.
