QBs

  1. Teddy Bridgewater, MIA
  2. Deshaun Watson, HOU

Teddy is really the only guy on waivers I would consider starting this week. Maybe you have Stafford and don’t trust him anymore, maybe you have Tannehill. Teddy is a good QB and has an amazing support cast around him – he also hit Tyreek Hill on a great deep shot on Thursday.

I would start Teddy simply because of the talent around him. Maybe Tyreek will take a screen to the house.

Deshaun is an OK pickup. He will probably do well when he comes back, but it is definitely a risk. Is the potential upside worth it?

RBs

  1. Melvin Gordon, DEN
  2. Tyler Allegier, ATL

Two major injuries this weekend for RBs. Both Javonte Williams and Cordarelle Patterson are out for the season with knee injuries. This means that their backups are now valuable. Allgeier has played well so far, and may be the better of the two to snag. Many fans are worried about Gordon’s fumbles, and I can’t say I disagree. However, he is the clear lead back in Denver moving forward.

WRs

  1. Romeo Doubs, GB
  2. Corey Davis, NYJ

I told you to pick up Doubs last week. He scored a TD and caught 5 passes against the Patriots. He will continue to develop trust with Rodgers, potentially putting him in fringe WR1 status at the end of the season. I truly believe Doubs is a league-winner this year.

Corey Davis put up a solid week against the Steelers, with 5 catches for 74 yards. I think Zach Wilson trusts Davis quite a bit, as shown last year. I would pick up Davis but might even be comfortable with starting him this weekend against Miami. A TD is definitely a possibility.

TEs

  1. Robert Tonyan, GB
  2. Tyler Conkilin, NYJ

Tonyan is another player I had on this list last week. He performed OK this weekend, putting up 2/22/1 stat line. The upside potential for a TD a weekend is definitely there for Tonyan. I see Doubs/Jones getting the Packers down the field, and Tonyan/Dillon taking in the scores.

Conklin is a great play. He has a 4-week target average of 7.5, and a low of 5. That’s really good, and Conklin has become a staple of a solid Jets offense. He almost never leaves the field, which bodes well for a few extra targets here and there on broken plays.

D/ST

  1. Eagles
  2. Vikings

The Eagles will be the top D/ST in the league this year. Pick them up if available.

The Vikings have the best matchup possible vs the Bears this weekend. They are a great streaming play, but don’t hold on to them past their Week 6 bye.
