New England Patriots Preview

The Patriots are currently on a five-game losing streak and are coming off a 6-0 defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers. Their offense has struggled mightily in their last three games, as they have scored just 13 points total.

At this point, they are gearing up for the 2024 NFL Draft. Surprisingly, they are not the worst team in the league, thanks to the Carolina Panthers (currently 1-11). With multiple receivers out, it also appears as if no quarterback that they try to put here can save them.

One thing for sure about this team is that they are horrendous on offense. They rank last (32nd) in the league for 12.3 points per game, which is not going to cut it. On defense, they are respectable in allowing 21.2 points a game, ranking 15th.

It is estimated that the Patriots will be starting Bailey Zappe again after having him start in their previous game. This is a different quarterback situation compared to a few games ago when they were starting Mac Jones. Zappe has two interceptions, 299 yards, and a QBR of 17.6.

Pittsburgh Steelers Preview

The Steelers have gone 2-3 over their last five matchups. Most recently, they fell 24-10 to the Arizona Cardinals. Over their last four games, they had kept it within six points or less up until this matchup.

Playoff hopes are still alive despite losing their most recent game and losing their starting quarterback for at least a few weeks. They are currently tied for second in the AFC North, so any wins would definitely help their cause and they cannot afford to lose to teams that are not even searching for a playoff spot.

The Steelers are not far ahead of the Patriots when it comes to points, as they average 16.0 points a game and rank 28th. Defense is another story, as the Steelers stop teams to 19.1 points a game and rank sixth.

Mitch Trubisky will get the start again, likely for a few weeks, after Kenny Pickett just had surgery on a high ankle sprain. So far this season, Trubisky has two touchdowns, two interceptions, 273 yards, and has a QBR of 23.8.
