Nashville is aiming to be a surprise in the MLS playoffs, as they have had success here before. Nashville has only been able to accumulate 11 points with two wins, five of those matchups being draws and three outright losses. 

This does not bode well for their chances, as they have put together fewer opportunities on scoring in comparison to other teams. Hany Mukhtar was a key component to their success, as he was able to lead as a goal scorer and in assists with 15 goals and 11 assists on the season.

Orlando City Preview

Orlando City was able to cap off their regular season at second in the conference. They showcase an 18-9-7 record while having 63 points and a goal difference of +16.

In their last matchup of the regular season, they were able to defeat the Toronto FC 2-0. They have added on another crucial win to boost their winning streak to four in a row and are aiming to keep the success rolling.

Looking back at what they accomplished this year, it is quite impressive. They set new club records, with 18 wins, 63 points, and had the least amount of losses at sixth. 

They defeated Nashville already this year, with a good opportunity to continue that streak. The win also ended the Lions’ losing eight-game streak against Nashville. Can the Lions make it two-consecutive in a row

These teams have met each other in the previous two MLS first round knockout matches for the playoffs. Earlier in October of this year, they defeated the Nashville SC 1-0 in a fiercely competitive battle.

Nashville SC has had strong performances from various players this year. Their leading goal scorer was Facundo Torres, who finished off the regular season with 14. In addition, Duncan McGuire added 13 goals, while Mauricio Pereyra shined as the leader in assists with 12.
