Nashville Predators Preview

The Predators need to find consistency, as they have had a tough road stretch lately. They have gone 2-3 in their last five games, with four being on the road. Their most recent performance was a 4-1 defeat to the Edmonton Oilers.

Filip Forsberg needs to assert himself early in the game, as he has accumulated 50 points and 23 goals this season. Roman Josi, with 32 assists so far, should also play a crucial role as the duo will need to work together to build a lead.

The Predators are averaging 2.98 goals per game, taking 30.7 shots. Their power play percentage comes in at 19.4, as they have scored 33 goals and conceded 38.

On defense, they allow an average of 3.10 goals and 30.0 shots, highlighting challenges in winning battles compared to their offense. The penalty kill percentage stands at 75.9, which is slightly better than the Senators’.

Ottawa Senators Preview

The Senators have gone 2-3 as well over their last five games, while losing their last two consecutive while playing in their home arena. In their latest battle, they were blown out 7-2 by the New York Rangers after having a 2-0 lead in the middle of the second period.

The Senators also put forth a duo of offensive players that can challenge the Predators’ defense. Tim Stutzle will be a tough matchup against Forsberg, as he currently has 45 points and 35 assists. As for scoring, Brady Tkachuk has accumulated 20 goals and will need to be aggressive early.

The Senators have a slightly more appealing offense in comparison to thePredators, as they average 3.33 goals and take 32.8 shots a game. Their power play performances have not been as likable, with 27 goals scored and 39 power play goals allowed. This has put their power play percentage at 16.3.

Defensively they could be in trouble here, as they are allowing 3.67 goals and 30.6 shots from their opponents each game. Their penalty kill percentage is currently at 73.6 and could make an impact negatively since it is slightly lower than the Predators’.

ZenSports Tennessee sportsbook provides an appealing NHL betting opportunity at hand. The Ottawa Senators are slight favorites, but this could arguably go either way based on both of their recent performances. With the Senators defensive issues and the Predators problems on offense, this could be a coin flip.
