Memphis Grizzlies Preview

The Grizzlies snapped a four-game losing streak with a recent 99-97 win over the San Antonio Spurs. Jaren Jackson Jr. led with 28 points, as well as landing the game winner with 1.2 seconds remaining.

Jackson Jr. (22.6 PPG) and Desmond Bane (23.9 PPG) are an exciting scoring duo to watch. However, Bane is questionable for this game due to some issues with his back. This could affect their chances of victory slightly if they do not have their best offensive weapons.

The Grizzlies maintain an average of 105.9 points per game but remain entrenched at the bottom of the rankings (30th). Their offensive efficiency also lags behind, registering at 107.2. Managing possessions and capitalizing on scoring chances are not their forte.

On the defensive end, they demonstrate stability by allowing 112.6 points per game and secure the 10th place ranking. With a defensive efficiency rating of 113.9, placing them 11th, they must deliver an exceptional performance against one of the league’s top teams. So far, they allow more points on the defensive end than they achieve on the offensive end.

Denver Nuggets Preview

The Nuggets escaped a tough matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers with a 114-111 victory. This extended their winning streak to three, where Reggie Jackson led with 23 points.

Jamal Murray (20.9 PPG) and Nikola Jokic (26.1 PPG) are both questionable for this game. If they are not available, this could put the Nuggets at risk, especially since they only defeated the Blazers by three points and they have one of the worst records in the league.

The Nuggets are averaging 114.6 points per game and rank 14th in the league for this effort. Their efficiency on this end of the floor ranks sixth, with a rating of 118.6. This puts them in a good position for victory, assuming they have a healthy roster.

Their defense has been holding teams to 110.1 points per game and ranks seventh in the league. They also rank 10th for their efficiency in getting stops on this end of the floor, with a rating of 113.7. Compared to their offense, they have a slight margin for victory.
