Los Angeles Rams Preview

The Rams just suffered their first defeat of the season, which was a 30-23 showing at home against the San Francisco 49ers. They had chances to move closer in the game, but had two pivotal turnovers late that sealed their fate.

They maintain an average of 411 total yards per game, of which 320.5 are attributed to their passing game. Defensively, they concede 281 yards, with 159 arising from passing plays. The Rams’ strength of defense will tested, particularly if quarterback Joe Burrow is on the field for the Bengals.

While Rams’ quarterback Matthew Stafford has shown promise, he must improve his efficiency. Despite amassing 641 yards across two games, he has only managed to secure a single touchdown and two interceptions.

Their current scoring averages stand at 26.5 points per game, while they allow 21.5. It is essential for them to widen the gap on both sides of the field for a more secure advantage.

Cincinnati Bengals Preview

The Bengals are not panicking yet despite going winless in two games so far, as they did last year to start the season and made it to the Super Bowl. The problem is, they are coming off of a 27-24 defeat against the Baltimore Ravens that they should have won and now Joe Burrow is questionable for this game.

Consistently, they put up an average of 222.5 yards per game, and a significant 152 yards are derived from their passing plays. On the other side, they yield an average of 387.5 total yards on the defensive front, with 195.5 yards attributed to opposing passing plays. This trend cannot persist if they aim to secure victories in this game and all future ones.

The decision on Joe Burrow’s availability for the game carries immense importance for the franchise. He recently aggravated a pre-existing calf injury, and rushing his return might worsen it, potentially sidelining him for the entire season. Nevertheless, he remains their top choice at quarterback, a critical factor in their quest for victory.

Their offense currently averages 13.5 points per game, while their defense allows only 25.5 points. In the absence of Burrow, they must regroup and execute flawlessly to have a fighting chance.
