Los Angeles Kings Preview

The Kings have faced defeat in their last four games and must regain momentum. Their most recent loss was a 4-3 overtime match against the St. Louis Blues, marking the fourth consecutive game where they allowed at least four goals. The defensive struggles must end soon if they want to get back on track.

With diverse offensive talents, keep an eye on Adrian Kempe leading with 43 points, Trevor Moore with 21 goals, and Kevin Fiala contributing 30 assists. If all three are doing their job correctly, it presents a promising opportunity for the Kings.

The Kings are averaging 3.13 goals and 33.9 shots per game. Their power play is robust and will be a key factor in this matchup, as they have scored 33 goals with a percentage of 21.3, but they have allowed 19 power play goals in return.

Defensively, they concede an average of 2.66 goals and 28.0 shots per game when their defense is at its best. This solid margin, coupled with an 87.0 penalty kill percentage, reflects their strength in fending off opponents.

Nashville Predators Preview

The Predators have struggled in recent games, going 1-4 (with four of these matchups on the road) and currently experiencing a two-game losing streak. In their latest match against the Ottawa Senators, they lost 4-3 in overtime, marking their second consecutive defeat while allowing four goals.

Filip Forsberg leads their offense with 50 points and 23 goals, while Roman Josi contributes to their strong puck movement with 34 assists. Their last performance started off strong with three goals alone in the first period, but were unable to capitalize after that. They will need dominant performances from both of them in order to succeed.

On average, the Predators score 2.98 goals and take 30.7 shots per game. However, their power play performance is a bit lacking, with 33 goals scored and 38 allowed, resulting in a 19.1 power play percentage.

Defensively, they allow 3.12 goals and 30.1 shots per game, creating a slightly negative margin of victory compared to their offense. Despite this, their penalty kill percentage stands at a solid 76.4 and it might be enough to hold off a hungry Kings team.
