The anticipation is building in Tennessee as preseason NFL wagering gains traction for the final preseason games, with one upcoming showdown between the undefeated Las Vegas Raiders (2-0) and the struggling Dallas Cowboys (0-2). Can the Cowboys make quality adjustments before the start of the regular season?

When: August 26, 2023 at 8:00 PM ET

Where: AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas

Las Vegas Raiders Preview

The Raiders seemingly had no issues in their 34-17 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Jimmy Garoppolo played the opening touchdown drive for the first time since December of last year due to a foot injury, which is also his debut for the Raiders.

Their offense has accumulated an average of 358 yards per game, of which 249 yards come from passing plays. In contrast, their defense has shown fluctuations, allowing an average of 266.5 yards per game, with 194 yards attributed to passing plays.

They have been excellent so far on paper, as they average 34 points a game allowing 12. This scoring trend may not hold up, as they will probably be resting key players since the start of the regular season is around the corner.

Aidan O’Connell has looked great in his first NFL action with a pair of preseason victories. The rookie QB out of Purdue is shaping up to be a quality backup to Garoppolo.

Dallas Cowboys Preview

The Cowboys will look to work out any issues with their team before heading into the regular season. Previously, they had a 22-14 defeat against the Seattle Seahawks and failed to produce quality offense in the fourth quarter.

Their offense is not too far away from the Raiders, with 351 total yards on average each game and 257 are from passing. On defense, they are struggling, holding teams to 390.5 yards a game with 247.5 coming from passing.

Speaking of offense, they have averaged 18.5 points a game. But, that quickly becomes a problem since they are allowing 25. Dak Prescott will not start as QB, so expect the offense to struggle again.

Coach Mike McCarthy has gone 2-7 in preseason battles since taking over in 2021. This losing trend could continue, especially since a lot of the starters are not competing and the Raiders are seemingly in regular season form.

Betting Odds

ZenSports Tennessee sportsbook gives you the best opportunity to bet on the NFL preseason in Tennessee for this matchup. The odds reveal that the Raiders are moderately favored to win their final preseason game.

Dallas Cowboys: +170

Spread: +5 (-110)

Las Vegas Raiders: -200

Spread: -5 (-110)

Totals: Over 38.5 (-110), Under 38.5 (-110)

The Cowboys have kept it close by at least 6.5 points in their losses, but they are going up against a heavy offense that is clicking. The first week of preseason games had 11 teams winning by 12 points or fewer and last week showed 12.
