Indianapolis Colts Preview
The Colts are currently on a three-game win streak and are having excellent momentum at the right time of year. Their most recent win was a 27-20 performance over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They are now second in the AFC South, which is tied with the Houston Texans, and about a game behind the leading Jacksonville Jaguars. A win here would make an impact in their goal of winning the division. Worst case scenario, they are seeking a Wild Card spot, but must capitalize on their positive run.
The Colts currently rank eighth in the league for their offense, as they put up 24.5 points per game. Defensively, they are one of the worst in the league, as they allow 24.4 points per game and rank 27th. This separation is key here, as it might be enough to overcome the Titans.
Quarterback Gardner Minshew (8 TD, 7 INT) has accumulated 1,972 yards this year and has improved tremendously since the start of the year. He now boasts a QBR of 58.5, ranking 13th in the league, and completes 63.0 percent of his passes.
Tennessee Titans Preview
The Titans recently broke their three-game losing streak when they faced off against the Carolina Panthers. This was an ugly win, but they were able to finish the game 17-10. The Titans scored all of their points in the first half, while the Panthers added seven to start the third to make it interesting.
Being last in the AFC South, they do not have much room left for error if they want a shot at the Wild Card Spot. This game is huge for them, as a win would boost their confidence and be the first step in aiming for that spot.
Their offense hovers near the bottom of the league’s worst at 27th, as they average 16.8 points per game. Their defense, however, has been a key component in their success as they allow teams to score 20.4 points each game and rank 10th in the league. While this is a negative ratio, they might be able to win if they can slow down the Colts.
Will Levis (6 TD, 2 INT) was solid in his performance against the Buccaneers, completing 18 of 28 passes. Overall, he has a completion rate of 59.9 and has a QBR of 36.0.
