Indianapolis Colts Preview

The Colts are on a three-game losing streak and need to break the cycle soon. Their recent outing was a 38-27 defeat to the New Orleans Saints. The biggest difference in this game was when the Saints scored seven points in the third quarter with no answer from the Colts, with every other quarter nearly even in points.

Despite their struggles on both ends of the field, they are still third in the AFC South. They primarily have had issues on offense dating back to last season, but have improved since firing Frank Reich.

So far, they are averaging 25.6 points per game and accumulate 376.1 total yards. On defense, they are allowing 28.6 points per game and have their opponents average 390.0. This slight negative difference might impact this game.

Quarterback Gardner Minshew (7 TD, 5 INT) has 1,400 yards and a QBR of 64.8 that ranks him ninth in the league. He will need to be more precise and limit mistakes if they want to win.

Carolina Panthers Preview

The Panthers finally recorded their first win of the season and snapped their six-game losing streak. It was an ugly battle to say the least, as the Panthers defeated the Houston Texans 15-13. This turned into a battle of field goals, as the Panthers landed three in addition to a touchdown run early in the game.

They are still at the bottom of the barrel in the league and fourth in the NFC South. On top of that, they only recently experienced their first win, which makes it difficult to depend on them to come through again. Their averages are a good indicator for how this game is going to turn out.

Their offense has been averaging 18.1 points per game, which is solid for a team that is rebuilding. They also put up 314.6 total yards. On defense, they allow their opponents to average an astounding 28.4 points per game and have 342.9 total yards.

Quarterback Bryce Young (7 TD, 4 INT) has accumulated 1,202 yards and is second to last with his QBR of 35.1. They need him to find his way in the starting role for them to prosper.
