Houston Texans Preview

The Texans have been successful in their last three games as they approach this matchup. Their most recent success was back at the AFC Wild Card game, where they handily defeated the Cleveland Browns 45-14 and C.J. Stroud became the youngest quarterback to win a playoff game.

They have gone 4-1 in their last five games, offering an incredible run to finish off the regular season. Now, the Texans have an outstanding opportunity to continue moving in the postseason and knock off a favored opponent to win it all.

The Texans rank 13th in the league for scoring, with 22.2 points per game. Their defense has been solid, ranking 11th and averaging 20.8 points per game. This margin of error is slim, as they will need to have a great offensive showing in order to have a chance at winning.

Stroud (23 TD, 5 INT) has steadily improved his game throughout the season and is arguably at his best entering this game. He has put together 4,108 total yards, a pass completion rate of 63.9, and a QBR of 57.5 that ranks 15th in the league.

Baltimore Ravens Preview

The Ravens last played January 6, which ended in a 17-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and snapped their previous six-game winning streak. Interestingly enough, two out of their four losses this season have been against the Steelers and both games have ended in the exact same score.

Despite the loss to the Steelers, the Ravens did not have Lamar Jackson at quarterback. Instead, they chose to sit him since they were making the playoffs anyway and had no reason to risk their season on a potential injury.

The Ravens have been averaging 28.4 points per game, ranking fourth in the league. On defense, they are the top-ranked team in stopping opposing offenses to just 16.5 points per game. This is a healthy margin of victory, but it will be interesting to see them sustain this.

Jackson (24 TD, 7 INT) is having an incredible run this year and is on pace to potentially win the MVP award. He has established 3,678 total yards, completed 67.2 percent of his passes, and has a 64.6 QBR that ranks fourth in the league.
