Denver Broncos Preview

The Broncos had a great opportunity to win their second-straight game, but fell short to the New York Jets 31-21. While they had a 13-8 lead at the half, they could not slow down the Jets and made enough mistakes to allow them to triumph.

Their offense has not been the worst, as they average 346.2 total yards a game and primarily get them from 242.0 passing plays. Their defense is what needs attention, as they allow 469.4 and have 281.8 come from passing. If they can hold teams back on defense, their chances of winning would be much greater.

Quarterback Russell Wilson has not had a terrible season, but his play has challenged the Broncos this year. He has established 1,210 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just two interceptions with a QBR of 45.2 that ranks 22nd in the league. His work on the field will need to be stellar if they want a shot to win here.

They have averaged 24.2 points per game, but have given up 36.2. They need to find a way to lower this negative differential and start winning games soon.

Kansas City Chiefs Preview

The Chiefs have won four-straight games and recently won against the Minnesota Vikings. In their 27-20 victory recently, the Chiefs were able to score 14 unanswered points in the third quarter to help push them along towards their win.

They have a good ratio for their total yards earned and allowed. They average 386.6 total yards with 263.6 coming from passing. On defense they allow 316.4, with 219.2 stemming from passing plays.

Patrick Mahomes (QB) has done well to start the season, but should aim to throw less interceptions (four). So far he has earned 1,287 yards and 10 touchdowns. His QBR of 73.3 ranks as the fourth-best in the league and his success on the field fuels their growth as a team.

The Chiefs typically average 25.6 points per game and give up 16.0. This is a solid margin for victory, but they must continue to perform well on both sides of the ball.
