Dallas Mavericks Preview

The Mavs aim for their second victory on the road to gain back control of this series. They recently fell short to Clippers in Game 4 at home, which ended 116-111 and was much uglier to start the game after being down 39-16 at the end of the first quarter.

They are averaging 101.3 points per game in this series while shooting at a 44 percent rate. They are allowing the Clippers to get 102.0 points per game, which shows a slight negative correlation and gives insight on how close this series has been.

Luka Doncic leads with an average of 29.0 points and 8.5 assists, followed closely by Kyrie Irving with 28.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. PJ Washington also contributes double-digit scores and is another key player to watch here. The combination of Luka and Kyrie is proving to be a difficult matchup for the Clippers and one that is more reliable long term in this series.

The Mavs are connecting on 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 74.0 percent from the free-throw line. They are also grabbing 42.3 rebounds per game, which is slightly better than the Clippers average.

Los Angeles Clippers Preview

The Clippers seek their second consecutive victory, which is something they have not done in this series. Their recent victory in Game 4 snapped a two-game losing streak, especially with a chippy Game 3.

They are averaging 102.0 points and shooting at 45.4 percent from the field. Both teams have put up consistent numbers and are close together on paper.

James Harden is leading their offense with 26.0 points and 4.0 rebounds a game, as well as Paul George having 21.0 points and 4.8 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard, though a great player, is ruled out for Game 5 due to knee issues. They have lost in both games that he has played and he has not looked comfortable.

They are doing a good job at shooting 43.5 percent from beyond the arc and are making an impact with 77.9 percent from the foul line. They are also securing 40.5 rebounds per game.
