Dallas Cowboys Preview

The Cowboys have gone 3-2 over their last five games, with their previous one being a 49-17 blowout win over the New York Giants. This marked the second blowout win over the Giants this year and a combined 72 points in the difference between both games.

Their success this year has placed them currently at the second spot in the NFC East. At this rate on both sides of the ball, they have an opportunity to make a serious run in the playoffs.

The Cowboys average 29.9 points per game and rank second in the league for their efforts. On defense, they are allowing 18.3 points a game, which ranks fourth in the league. This is a great separation between both averages, giving them a great opportunity to win.

Quarterback Dak Prescott (17 TD, 6 INT) has put up 2,415 yards and ranks third in the league with a QBR of 72.7. He has completed 70.7 percent of his passes this year. The Cowboys have not lost a game when he completes 66.0 percent of his passes on at least 25 attempts.

Carolina Panthers Preview

The Panthers have lost two consecutive games and had a recent tough loss. This was a 16-13 performance against the Chicago Bears, where the Bears dominated in first downs (21-12) and had possession of the ball for at least 33 minutes.

It is not surprising to see them as the worst team in the NFL with the struggles they face on both sides of the ball. The Panthers have had two losses that were at three points, while the rest have been 10 or more points.

They are averaging 17.0 points per game (29th) and allow 26.9 (30th) from their opponents. They will need to rely on steady offense as much as possible to hold onto the ball and slow down the pace, because they cannot afford to have a shootout against the Cowboys.

QB Bryce Young (8 TD, 7 INT) has 1,560 yards so far, but will need a big game in order to do well against the Cowboys. His completion rate is at 62.8 percent, but was lacking in his last game against the Bears at 55.3 percent. Currently, his QBR is at 33.2 and ranks him 31st in the league.
