Atlanta Falcons Preview
The Falcons were able to pull off a close matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their most recent battle. This was a 16-13 outing, where Younghoe Koo ended the game with a winning 51-yard field goal.
Despite some tough battles in their last few games, they are currently first in the NFC South. In fact, they are the only team in that conference above .500.
They have been solid on both sides of the ball, but have struggled in close contests.
The Falcons are averaging 16.4 points per game and are giving up 19.0 to their opponents. They also average 360.3 total yards a game and slow teams down to 298.4 total yards. While their defense has been solid, it is their offense that has been lacking.
Quarterback Desmond Ridder (6 TD, 6 INT) has had his inconsistencies on offense, which explains their team’s issues. He has accumulated 1,630 yards and ranks 22nd in the league with a QBR of 43.3.
Tennessee Titans Preview
The Titans experienced their second consecutive loss, which was a 24-16 showing against the Baltimore Ravens. They managed to keep it within five points after the third quarter, but fell apart towards the end.
They have moved back to fourth in the AFC South and are at risk of missing the playoffs. They will need to turn their season around and this is the perfect time to do it.
Their point differential is similar to the Falcons, as they average 17.3 points per game and allow 19.5. In addition, they put up 311.0 total yards each game and have allowed 358.7 total yards. They will either need to enhance their offense or have some of the best defense in the league to turn their season in a positive direction.
Ryan Tannehill (2 TD, 6 INT) has been atrocious this season, with a QBR of 33.3 that ranks 31st in the league. He is currently questionable for this game, as he might be sidelined due to an ankle sprain and the offense might get a chance to flourish under someone else for a game. Both Malik Willis and Will Levis will get some playing time if Tannehill is indeed out of the lineup.
