Army Black Knights Preview

The Black Knights are currently on a three-game losing streak and need to break the cycle. On top of that, they are coming off of a 19-0 battle against the Troy Trojans, which does not bode well for their chances against the Tigers.

Their scoring margins are not favorable for close encounters. They average 24.5 points per game and are permitting opponents to score 20.2. This is not enough breathing room to go up against a ranked opponent.

Their troubles on the field do not end there, as they average 339.5 total yards and have 196.0 come from rushing. Despite solid offense at times, they allow too many yards (350.2) on defense and give up an even amount of that to both rushing and passing.

Quarterback Bryson Daily will need an impeccable performance to compliment their upset. He currently ranks 107th in the nation with a QBR of 40.4. Out of his 712 yards, he has accumulated six touchdowns and four interceptions.

LSU Tigers Preview

The Tigers have gone 2-1 in their last three games and have averaged 48.6 points in these matchups. Their previous matchup was a 48-18 win over the Auburn Tigers, which pushed them to two consecutive wins.

Their offense has been prolific to say the least, as they are averaging 45.3 points per game against good teams. On defense, they have allowed teams to also score at a good rate, with 30.3 from their foes. Against good offensive teams, that could bite them.

In fact, their total yards and defended yards are not that far apart. They average 550.4 in total, with 335.9 from passing. On defense, they allow 423.9 and have 266.6 from passing. However, this could still be an overwhelming advantage compared to the Black Knights.

QB Jayden Daniels (22 TD, 3 INT) has been thriving in their offense and is arguably one of the best in the nation. Currently, he ranks fourth in the nation with a QBR at 90.5. His 2,294 yards is not a fluke, as his efficiency and execution is one of the best this year in college football.
