Alabama Crimson Tide Preview

The Crimson Tide were able to find success at home recently against the Ole Miss Rebels. They won 24-10, which was a great defensive showing. Their offense is still trying to work things out, which makes them dangerous once they start clicking.

They have put up 364.8 total yards each game, with 203.3 coming from passing. On defense, they allow opposing teams to land 307.5 total yards, with 203.5 stemming from passes. If their offense improves, this margin will definitely look more appealing.

They are putting up 30.3 points a game and allow 13.5 from their opposition. This is a good margin of safety, but they could always improve from here. Against a poor defense from the Bulldogs, these averages could definitely change.

Jalen Milroe (quarterback) is their starter once again for this matchup after sitting out one game due to the Crimson Tide changing things up offensively. So far, he has amassed 674 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions. His quarterback rating is at 71.1, which is 41st in the nation averages.

Mississippi State Bulldogs Preview

The Bulldogs recently had a tough 37-30 defeat against the South Carolina Gamecocks. They made the game interesting when scoring 17 points in the second quarter alone, but failed to capture the positive momentum.

They average 388 total yards a game, with 203.3 deriving from passes. They struggle on defense, as they allow 400.3 total yards, with a majority (280) coming from passing plays. This will be difficult to overcome if they are down early, as their stats indicate that they cannot come back.

They have averaged 30.8 points per game and allow their opponents away at 27.3. Against a good defensive team like the Crimson Tide, their offense cannot afford any bad days.

Will Rogers, quarterback, will attempt his best to avoid losing three straight games. He looked great against the Gamecocks, despite the loss, as he completed 30 out of 48 passes with a touchdown.

Rogers has accumulated 979 yards, six touchdowns, and only one interception, which was against the Gamecocks. His QBR is at 48.1, which is ranked as the 88th best in the nation, and is a big difference against Milroe.
