Tennessee Titans Preview
The Titans lost their momentum at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers in their most recent game. In this 20-16 defeat, rookie quarterback Will Levis is still showing promise despite not throwing a touchdown and having one interception.
They are currently fourth in the AFC South, but could easily climb to the second spot in a few short weeks with how close the division is. The Jacksonville Jaguars (currently 6-2) are the only threat here, while others are .500 or below.
They are averaging 18.5 points per game, which ranks 24th in the league. They also contribute 327.5 total yards in that offense, which arguably needs to improve for better scoring opportunities. On defense, they allow teams to put up 20.0 points per game, ranking 11th, and allow 358.0 total yards.
Levis has shown that he is capable of handling the starting role at QB, with four touchdowns and one interception on 500 yards. He also has a QBR of 44.3 so far, making him an appealing option to have the rest of the year on the field and to replace Ryan Tannehill.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preview
The Buccaneers have added to their four-game losing streak with the recent loss to the Houston Texans. This was a 39-37 performance, where the Bucs had a four point lead with a little time remaining before the Texans scored a touchdown with seconds left on the clock.
The Bucs are third in the NFC South and still have an excellent opportunity to win the division. The current leader is the New Orleans Saints, who are 5-4, followed by the 4-5 Atlanta Falcons.
Their offense has been somewhat better despite their losses, as they put up 19.8 points per game (22nd best) and 311.4 total yards each matchup. On defense, opposing teams are averaging 20.9 points each contest (16th best) and average 389.0 total yards per game.
QB Baker Mayfield (12 TD, 4 INT) has accumulated 1,865 yards with a 64.9 percent completion rate. He also has a QBR of 56.5, ranking him 15th in the league. His success will help determine how well they do in this matchup.
