Georgia Bulldogs Preview

The Bulldogs had no problems against the 20th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats in their last battle, which was a 51-13 victory at home. This game was essentially over by halftime, as the Bulldogs were up 34-7 to start the second half.

They have been able to average 502.3 total yards a game and produce 349.7 of those from passing yards. They are also stout on defense, as they allow teams to average 269.8 and have 166.2 of those deriving from passing yards. If these numbers continue to show up, they will be difficult to beat.

Their offense has been clicking, as they average 40.6 points per game. They also do well on defense, holding teams to 13.0 a game. At this rate, they are showing they are one of the most dominant teams in the nation on both sides of the ball.

Carson Beck (QB) is showing signs of a dominant season. While he ranks just outside the top 10 in the national at 12th in QBR (83.3), he has compiled 1,886 yards, 11 touchdowns, and three interceptions. His work on the field will help their chances at a good margin of victory.

Vanderbilt Commodores Preview

The Commodores are on a five-game losing streak coming into this matchup. Their recent defeat was a 38-14 outing against the Florida Gators, which looked ugly at the half when the Gators were up 21-7.

They are lacking in offense compared to the Bulldogs, as they put up 367.0 total yards a game with 274.4 coming from passes. On defense, they allow 421.1 total yards and give 263.7 to passing plays. This differential will not be appealing if they fail to slow down the Bulldogs.

On offense, they allow 24.6 points per game. However, their defense gives up 36.0 points per contest. Judging by these numbers, it may not be enough to overcome any potential deficit they may face in this game.

They need a big game from AJ Swann, who currently ranks 119th in the nation with a QBR of 33.4. He has established 1,290 yards with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He cannot afford a bad day or otherwise the Bulldogs will eat him alive.
