The bracket for the ZenSports Xonotic Duel Cup is now up on the ZenSports app. You can view the bracket by heading to more -> play -> ZenSports Xonotic Duel Cup. To create or accept bets on the event, head to the bets/contests tab and to the esports tab. The event is located under “ZenSports Tournaments.” From here, you can create bets just as if you were betting on any other event in ZenSports!

Now that you know how to place bets, here is a quick introduction to some of the players participating in the ZenSports Xonotic Duel Cup. By clicking on their name in this post, you’ll be able to view their Xonotic stats page. This page shows their statistics from their entire Xonotic career as well as what weapons they frequently use in their contests.

DodgerXon

DodgerXon is a premier Xonotic player and has been for quite some time. He has been playing for nine years, and has slowly progressed to be one of, if not the top player in the community.

Dodger uses his swift movement skills to confuse his opponents and to keep them from knowing his exact position on the map. He is extremely skilled with the Devastator, Vortex, and Mortar, his three weapons of choice.

He has performed incredibly well in the mock events, but will face better and more focused competition in the 5M SPORTS cup. Here are some highlights from Dodger, and you can watch him live during the Duel Cup here

Ch4mp

Ch4mp is another top Xonotic Dueler, and has been playing for six years. He runs rocketjumpzone.com, and has been doing so for more than a year. He uses an incredibly high DPI and mouse sensitivity and claims “high DPI makes me better, stronger, faster.”

Ch4mp has a different play style from DodgerXon and directly rushes and attacks his opponents. This type of strategy can be overwhelming for the opposing player, but sometimes can come back to bite Ch4mp, as aggression in Xonotic isn’t always the answer.

Ch4mp is a formidable Xonotic opponent, using the Devastator the most out of any player in the event. He often uses either the Vortex or Mortar in combination with the Devastator.

King Mirio

Mirio is a member of Team Xonotic, the community who built the game and maintains it to this day. Mirio is the Head Level Designer, and helped integrate custom ZenSports billboards into five maps for our Duel Cup.

If you look closely at Mirio’s Weapon Chart, you might notice that he utilizes the Crylink more so than other players. The Crylink allows players to shoot an expanding cluster of plasma. If the user holds his left trigger after shooting, the expanding plasma clusters inverse, now contracting instead of expanding.

The Crylink also slows opponents and can also be used as a movement aid, just like the blaster. The crylink does not carry as strong of a “knockback” effect, but does provide a small speed boost to players when shot at their feet.

Mirios playstyle is unconventional, however that might be just what he needs to place well in the Duel Cup.
